A few weeks ago Bug and I set out to put it together. We did a really good job, we only have a few "left over" pieces. Bug was a huge help, as I was steadying the frame he would go grab the pieces I asked for and bring them to me. We staked it down and patted ourselves on the back.
Then last week we had a bit of a storm and this happened........
Poor Bug, he was really disappointed. Luckily we didn't have any plants in it yet!
With a little more work we got it back into position.
We added some of these jugs filled with water to hold it down.
Bug was ready to plant some seeds but we had to wait until the next day. The next morning he ran into my room and the first thing out of his mouth was.. "I'm sooooo excited to plant some seeds today!"
So we planted a variety of veggies and flowers. It's amazing how warm it stays in there, let's just hope the plants survive the rabbits and deer this summer. Who said gardening wasn't exciting? Yes, I'm a complete dork.

I used to love gardening as well when we lived in a house. You're not a dork for that! It's awesome to grow your own flowers and your own food. To see your vegetables grow from a teeny seed to go right onto your dinner plate is exciting and rewarding and will be a learning experience for Bug. I wish you success and tons of fun in this garden project!!
Dont let Michele blow smoke up your ARSE...you are such a dork. LOL Just kidding.
I love this post. You are such a great mama. I wish we lived closer to each other so much Autumn. sigh...
I am getting geared up to plant some flowers in our deck containers with Sugar this spring. I have neglected my yard and such for a few years now....it is time to remedy that.
Gardening dork! Me, too!
Gardening Dorks Unite!!!!! I can not wait to start diggin in the dirt and pull up worms for the girls to hold in their hands and giggle about. Kids get a kick out of planting a tiny seed and watching/waiting for it to grow - try some jumbo sunflowers. They are amazing and feed the bird in the fall as well......
If you’re a dork – I’m a dork. We can’t wait to get out in the yard and to start planting and doing some maintenance. Love the pictures. Good luck with your greenhouse!
LOL @ "left over pieces". The story of my life :)
What a fun project to do together...you're a great mama!
